WHERE'S WALLY?

From my collection of all things interesting, I came across a postcard that was posted to me back in 2000 by a SF&F fan over in the UK.

At the back of the postcard states ‘Can you find Wally?’ [Where’s Wally? characters © (1997) Martin Handford].

Wikipedia states what ‘Where’s Wally?’ was all about ….
Where's Wally? (known in the United States and Canada as Where's Waldo?) is a series of children's books created by the English illustrator Martin Handford. The books consist of a series of detailed double-page spread illustrations depicting dozens or more people doing a variety of amusing things at a given location. Readers are challenged to find a character named Wally hidden in the group. Wally's distinctive red-and-white-striped shirt, bobble hat, and glasses make him slightly easier to recognise, but many illustrations contain red herrings involving deceptive use of red-and-white striped objects. Later entries in the long-running book series added other targets for readers to find in each illustration. The books have also inspired a TV show, comic strip and a series of video games.

SPIDER-MAN IN THE PHILIPPINES

During my travels around the Philippines last year, I was amused by seeing an image of Spider-Man on the wall of a local printer. It seems that a lot people over in that country, young and old, enjoy the American super-heroes. There are many t-shirts about depicting Superman, Green Lantern, Spider-Man and others.

METAL PLATES OF SUPERHEROES

At a collectable market today out in the country of Victoria (Australia) I noticed these square hanging metal 'plates' of superheroes. Very tempted to buy them but, as usual, very short of cash.
